Ensure You Are Comparing Apples to Apples

When price shopping for procedures, there are a few points to consider.

Not all providers are the same.

Anesthesia:

We customize our anesthetic protocol to best fit and improve the safety of each individual pet.

Bloodwork:

We strongly recommend the pre-anesthetic blood test for every procedure because it is significant information that can detect conditions that may prevent a successful outcome.

I.V. Catheterization:

We place intravenous catheters to provide fluid support and to create an open line for medications in each procedure. This fluid support helps speed the recovery from anesthesia.

Pain Management:

We provide a variety of different injectable medications while in the hospital, and we dispense oral post-surgical pain management at discharge. Proper pain management has been shown to speed recovery by encouraging animals to eat sooner and get back to their routine in a more timely manner.

Surgical Monitoring:

Monitoring vital signs during surgery both electronically and with a veterinary assistant is crucial; thus, we currently use both with all procedures.

Post-Op Monitoring:

We continuously monitor patients post-op in our Treatment Room.

We establish the recovery length based on the type of procedure each pet has received and how quickly they respond to treatment. Post-op monitoring is just as crucial as surgical monitoring to ensure that no apparent abnormalities arise.

Would You Gamble With Your Pet's Life? We Won't.

"I largely feel that for the pet parent that can afford to do so, allowing your vet to do the spaying or neutering is the safest option and in the best interest of your pet."

"Veterinarians perform neuters and spays all the time. Yes, most of us have done thousands of them. And yes, they generally are very safe. But they should not be taken lightly. Neuters and spays are real surgeries, and you want them done right because if something goes wrong, the outcome can be fatal."

Dr. Eric Barchas, Dogster/Catster Magazine
